Chelsea High School athletics will feature a packed slate of competition on Wednesday, September 2nd, with seven Bulldog teams taking to the field and court across three separate sports. Fans can look forward to a full day of action, highlighted by home field hockey matchups against regional rival Dexter and multi-level road trips for football and volleyball. The home action takes place at Chelsea High School, where the field hockey program hosts a double-header against Dexter. The Girls Junior Varsity squad leads off the evening at 5:30 PM, followed directly by the Girls Varsity contest under the lights at 7:00 PM. Meanwhile, Chelsea volleyball teams head to Ann Arbor to square off against Pioneer High School. The court action begins with simultaneous 5:30 PM starts for both the Girls Junior Varsity and Girls Freshman teams—with the freshman match scheduled to run through 6:30 PM EDT—before the Girls Varsity squad takes the floor for a 7:00 PM showdown. Rounding out the Wednesday schedule, the sub-varsity football teams travel to Jackson High School for an afternoon and evening double-header. The Freshman football team kicks off the action on the gridiron at 4:30 PM EDT, paving the way for the Junior Varsity team to take over at 6:30 PM. With seven teams competing across three venues, Wednesday offers a great opportunity to support Chelsea student-athletes as they aim to pick up early-season wins. Go Bulldogs!
