The Bulldogs controlled possession early, but the Maples' defense held firm until Christian Banos-Weatherholt broke the deadlock, netting the lone goal of the opening half to give Chelsea a 1-0 advantage into the break. The floodgates opened in the second half. Henry Glendening sparked the offensive explosion by burying a stunning header directly off a goal kick to double the lead to 2-0. Girls Golf: Bulldogs Earn 6th at Battle Creek Lakeview Invite The Chelsea girls varsity golf team traveled to Cedar Creek Golf Club to compete in the 11-team Battle Creek Lakeview Invitational, turning in a strong team score of 379 to finish in sixth place. Leighton Diesing paced the Bulldogs with a round of 84, earning a tie for 7th place individually in a competitive field. Hannah Beda provided solid backup with an 87. Portage Central claimed the team title, driven by an extraordinary 9-under-par round of 63 from their top individual golfer.
