It’s a massive week for the Bulldogs as winter sports head into the heart of postseason play. From the hardwood to the mats at Ford Field, here is your look at the week ahead for Chelsea Athletics. Basketball: Regional and District Stakes The Boys Varsity Basketball team begins their Regional push on Tuesday, March 3rd. They travel to Fowlerville High School to take on Marshall in the Regional Semifinal at 5:30 pm. A victory on Tuesday would propel the Bulldogs into the Regional Final on Thursday, March 5th, where they would face the winner of the Detroit Divine Child/Lansing Sexton matchup back in Fowlerville at 7:00 pm. On the girls' side, the Girls Varsity Basketball team is hunting for a trophy at Williamston High School. On Wednesday, March 4th, the Bulldogs compete in the District Final at 5:30 pm against the winner of the Fowlerville/Pinckney. With a win on Wednesday, the girls would advance to a high-stakes showdown on Friday, March 6th at 7:00 pm in Williamston, taking on the winner of the Williamston/FGR matchup. Wrestling: Two Bulldogs Head to Ford Field The eyes of the wrestling world will be on Detroit this weekend for the Individual Wrestling State Finals. Chelsea will be represented at Ford Field on Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th by Hunter Burk and Collin Beckel. Both wrestlers have battled through a grueling season to earn their spot among the state's elite, and they'll look to climb the podium in the final meet of the year. Diving: Regional Qualifiers The Bulldog Divers are also in postseason action this week. They will head to Haslett on Thursday, March 5th for the Diving Regionals.
