Podium Finish! Boys Swim & Dive Takes 3rd at SEC White Championships

The water was fast and the competition was fierce this past weekend at the SEC White Championships in Jackson, where the boys swim and dive team put on a stellar performance to secure a 3rd place finish. Individual and relay performances were the real highlights of the meet. Several athletes didn't just hit the podium—they punched their tickets to the postseason with impressive state-qualifying times. The following athletes have officially qualified to represent the team at the highest level: 200 Medley Relay (1:46.00): The powerhouse squad of Hunter Hartin, James Haab, Ryan Hodel, and Zack Bieber set the tone with a clinical performance. Miles Dell dominated the 100 Butterfly with a sharp 57.91. Ryan Hodel showed incredible speed in the 100 Backstroke, clocking in at 59.28. Dylan Hodges powered through 100 Breaststroke to finish in 1:05.97 and James Haab added to the tally by securing his own state cut in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:05.23. Victor Gutierrez De Pineres won the diving championship tallying a score of 282.50 and Liam Hurden finished 5th with a score 0f 243.40 Next Stop Divers: Regionals at Haslett on Thursday Next Stop Swimmers: Holland The season isn't over yet. The qualifiers will now shift their focus to the MHSAA Division 3 State Finals. The team will be heading across the state to the Holland Aquatic Center to compete against the best in Michigan.
